William ‘King’ Offutt serves as President and Chief Operating officer of BC Wood Properties (2006) after having served as the company’s outside counsel, where he was heavily involved in acquisitions, financing, and leasing since 2002. 

 

Prior to joining the company, King practiced corporate and real estate law with Stites and Harbison, PLLC, King obtained a BA from Denison University, obtained his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School, and has been a member of the Kentucky Bar since 2001.

During his tenure with BC Wood Properties, King has taken a lead role in acquisitions, including financing, with an aggregate value of over $1B.

King is a native of the Lexington area and remains highly involved in the community. King is the past Board Chair of Lexington Hearing and Speech Center. and currently serves as the President of the Trustees for The Lexington School.

King lives just outside Lexington with his wife and two children.
